| Prima Facie A fact presumed to be true so far as can be judged from the first disclosure, until disproved by some evidence to the contrary. A "clean" Bill of Lading is prima facie evidence of the apparent good order of cargo, i.e. cargo is presumed to be in good order when received by the carrier, and the burden is on the carrier to prove otherwise. |
