Draft

1) The depth of a boat, measured from the deepest point to the waterline. The water must be at least this depth, or the boat will run aground.

2) A term describing the amount of curvature designed into a sail.

3) Draft (T): - The distance, measured in feet or meters, between the keel and waterline at any point along the length. When the point at which the draft is taken is not specified, it is assumed to be the midships or mean draft.
