| Sail Drive This is a steerable (azmuthing) drive system for sail boats of the same type used for tug boats. The word "Saildrive" has become proprietary and is usually married to a Yanmar engine. Essentially the Sail Drive is a "mule" or an outdrive that goes down through the bottom of the hull rather than out through the transom and then down. The Sail Drive is usually fitted with a folding propeller.
